Municipal Elections

2018 Municipal Election

Voting Day is Monday, October 22, 2018 between 10:00 am and 8:00 p.m. 
The Municipal Clerk/Returning Officer is responsible for the coordination and management of municipal elections. In accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, every four years the Clerk as Returning Officer conducts elections for the offices of:
  • Mayor (1)
  • Councillors (4)
  • School Board Trustees (as determined by the City of Thunder Bay)

The nomination form may be filed at any time during normal office hours beginning Tuesday, May 1, 2018 up
to Thursday, July 26, 2018, and on Nomination Day, Friday, July 27, 2018 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and
2:00 p.m. at 330 Highway 595.

The term of the new office commences Monday, December 3, 2018.
