2010 MUNICIPAL ELECTION
The Election is complete. Council for the next four years has been set. Congratulations to our new Council. Mayor Ron Nelson, Councillors Gwen Garbutt, Jerry Loan, Bishop Racicot and Jim Vezina.
"NEW" Compliance Audit Committee
Section 81 of the Municipal Elections Act provides that an elector who is entitled to vote in an election and believes on reasonable grounds that a candidate has contravened a provision of the Act relating to election finances may apply for a compliance audit of the candidate's election campaign finances. The application is made to the clerk of the municipality and shall set out the reasons for the elector's belief. A copy of the application form is available by clicking here.
The Townships of Conmee, Gillies and O'Connor have for formed a Joint Compliance Audit Committee. The Committee consists of three members, with one member from each municipality. The Clerk of the municipality from which an application derives, serves as the Secretary to the Committee.
