2010 MUNICIPAL ELECTION
 
Nomination Process for the 2010 Municipal Election Section 33(1) of the Municipal Elections Act provides that a person may be nominated for an office by filing a nomination with the Returning Officer in the Clerk’s Office in person or by an agent.  The nomination shall be in the prescribed Form 1 (Nomination Paper), signed by the person being nominated and accompanied by the prescribed nomination filing fee. The fee is $100.00 for Councillors and $200.00 for Mayor. The fee is to be paid by cash, certified cheque or money order. Facsimile signatures are not acceptable.
The Nomination form may be filed at any time during regular office hours beginning January 4, 2010 up to and including Nomination Day, September 10, 2010 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for the following offices:
 
TOWNSHIP OF O’CONNOR
 - Mayor  
 - Councillors – 4 to be elected
 
Lorna Buob, Clerk-Treasurer and Returning Officer
